Ticket 1530309 – Two price options, only one should be added

Same product, two price options: Precio unico $2,800 and Tres pagos $1,100 / mo x 3. The only difference between these pages is how the two prices are attached to the checkout form.

Before – what your form does now

Both prices are attached to the form itself, so both are dropped into the cart on load. There is no option for the customer to choose, and the subtotal is $3,900.

The other trap – a chooser with both options pre-ticked

Here there is a “choose one” selector, but both choices have Checked By Default switched on. The radio buttons show only one option selected while the cart still holds both, and the subtotal is still $3,900. Avoid this.

Open the “both ticked” checkout

After – the correct setup

One Price Selector set to Select one, with a Price Choice for each price and only one marked Checked By Default. The cart always holds exactly one line item, and switching the radio button swaps the price instead of adding to it.

How to fix it in your own form

  1. SureCart > Forms, open your course checkout form.
  2. Click the shopping bag icon at the top right of the form. The number on it is how many prices the form force-adds to every cart. Yours shows 2. Remove both of them so the badge reads 0.
  3. In the form body, add a Price Selector block where you want the options to appear.
  4. Select the Price Selector block. In the right sidebar under Attributes, set Type to Select one.
  5. Inside it, add one Price Choice block per price and pick the price for each.
  6. Select each Price Choice and check Checked By Default on one of them only. This is the step that causes the problem when both are on.
  7. Update the form and reload the checkout page in a private window.
